Nikon recently released the Nikon View NX 2.1.1 update, which – apart of a series of bug fixes – adds some new features plus support for its new Coolpix cameras. Adobe released the ACR & DNG converter 6.4 and Lightroom 3.4 updates, and Apple updated Digital Camera RAW for OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard), Aperture and iPhoto to version 3.6.

Mac OS X v10.6 Snow Leopard provides system-level support for digital camera RAW formats, which can be opened in programs like Aperture and iPhoto.Apple published the latest software update for Digital Camera RAW, version 3.5, which adds support for the Nikon D7000 and CP7000, amongst others.
Adobe Labs has published the Adobe Camera RAW and DNG converter 6.3 Release Candidate (CS5 only). The ACR plug-in and stand-alone DNG converter come as separate packages, which you can download here.The ACR download also includes a slew of new lens-profiles; mostly Nikkor (22) but also Canon, Samsung and Sigma.
I thought it could not get any worse after testing Capture NX2 and View NX1.5 a while ago, but I was wrong. NX2 is worse, at least from where I am standing. So much worse that I have not been able to thoroughly test it, not on Windows XP Pro x64 nor on a "standard" XP Pro 32 system.
Nikon have launched a new version of their free, basic RAW editing software, View NX version 2. This new version includes various improvements over the previous version, such as straighten, crop and resize. It also includes options for movie editing, like eliminating unwanted footage and cropping.
The Adobe ACR and DNG converter 6.2 RC are now available for download from the Adobe Labs website.
On april 21, Adobe released the Camera RAW plugin and DNG Converter v.5.7, while they started this week shipping the new Creative Suite 5 with ACR v.6.0. My guess is that ACR 5.7 will be the last ACR update for Creative Suite 4.
