Nikon has put up a service advisory regarding the D5000. It has to do with a power problem that affects a limited production series of this camera, which may not properly power on, even with a fully charged EN-EL9a battery or connected to AC with the EH-5a power adapter
My Nikon wishlist: D700+MB-D10, AF-S 14-24 mm f/2.8G, AF-S 55-200 mm. f/4-5.6G and Sandisk Ducati 4 Gb. CF plus firewire card reader.
I’m seeing a lot of people on the net complaining about a false low-battery problem with the D300 and the EN-EL3e, the standard battery for the D200, D300 and D700.

Professional and semi-professional* Nikon cameras with a 10-pin remote terminal are capable of automatically writing geo-referential meta-data in image headers (Exif), popularly known as "geo-tagging”. When a device records georeferential meta-data in real-time, as is the case here, we refer to it as "instantaneous geo-tagging".
Maybe the best Nikon ever built? Some will surely disagree, but with over 14.000 takes on it, and considering its price, I think yes! Updated: 29-04-09.
