Yup, I’ve been off of the radar for quite a while. We spent most of September in Amsterdam, to meet my first grandchild, hook up with the family and do tourist–stuff. I also went to the Photokina in Cologne, held both the new Nikon D7000 and Pentax 645D while I also bought some gear. So: I have a lot to talk about.
It's been almost a year since I wrote the original article on the notorious EN-EL3e False Low Battery Warning (FLBW), and I am still not aware of any official responses from Nikon on this issue. After an extensive review of suggested solutions by users here and on other forums, here are some ideas that might work for you.
