I thought it could not get any worse after testing Capture NX2 and View NX1.5 a while ago, but I was wrong. NX2 is worse, at least from where I am standing. So much worse that I have not been able to thoroughly test it, not on Windows XP Pro x64 nor on a "standard" XP Pro 32 system. more »

On april 21, Adobe released the Camera RAW plugin and DNG Converter v.5.7, while they started this week shipping the new Creative Suite 5 with ACR v.6.0. My guess is that ACR 5.7 will be the last ACR update for Creative Suite 4. more »

Comparing all the mayor contenders in the RAW conversion field leaves us with only one conclusion: there is no real "champion". Some images are better off with program x, while others with program y. However, and in spite of its shortcomings and elevated price, the Bridge/Photoshop/ACR/DNG Converter combo is the more obvious choice for those who routinely convert large amounts of RAW images. more »
