This is pretty big news. Like the kind you get every ten years or so… When the new Nikon NX-D software got out of beta, I was skeptical, to say the least. But the release of Capture NX-D could not be more opportune. Although I have only reviewed Nikon NX-D briefly, the program is awesome, sofar!

According to Nikon Rumors - generally well informed - Nikon has set a date for mayor press events in various countries: August 24, 2011.
This may very well be Nikon's most anticipated launch date in years, because we may finally get the next generation Professional and Prosumer cameras many people feel they have been waiting for too long.

Nikon recently released the Nikon View NX 2.1.1 update, which – apart of a series of bug fixes – adds some new features plus support for its new Coolpix cameras. Adobe released the ACR & DNG converter 6.4 and Lightroom 3.4 updates, and Apple updated Digital Camera RAW for OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard), Aperture and iPhoto to version 3.6. more »
